I run premium pump gas with no issues, but I do run my timing a little on the slow side just to make things last a little longer. Kieth Black sells 9:1 pistons for the ironhead as well.

Im hearing they make the bike run like crap, harder to tune, harder to start, etc. On the other hand Im hearing there great, bike starts better, easier to tune, etc. So Im not sure what the hell to believe!
WebJun 24, 2010 · Tighten the nut and press the plate in, remove the plate nuts, loosen the threaded rod and it is out. The screws/threaded rod that holds the plate to the primary screw holes, has to be about 10 to 12 inches long, to allow the spring to be removed.
